John Gurgone, vice president of operations at Kiddie's Playgroup Management, said in a statement published by the Elmhurst Independent that the Elmhurst location is the company's 12th academy in the Chicago area and its first in Elmhurst.
Level Up Fitness, a personal training facility specializing in small-group and one-on-one coaching, is based at 17W775 Butterfield Rd. in Oak Brook. The business lists Elmhurst and Villa Park among the communities it serves.
Book club and milestones
Jennifer Veremis, the Chamber's president and CEO, also announced a new program called Booked for Business. The quarterly book club, run in partnership with the Elmhurst Public Library, focuses on titles about leadership, growth and professional development.
It is open to all Elmhurst business owners and professionals, not just Chamber members. There are no regular meetings or formal commitments. The first book title is set to be revealed Thursday, Nov. 5.
The Chamber's November message also noted a member milestone: Yorky's is marking 30 years of Chamber membership.
