Warriors enter at 1-1
Coach Nick Hildreth's squad opened the 2026 season with a 20-13 overtime win over Glenbard East on Aug. 21 in Villa Park. That was the Warriors' first Week 1 victory since 2018, according to DuPage Community News.
The momentum did not carry into Week 2. Willowbrook fell 22-14 at Oswego East on Aug. 28. Quarterback Nate Jerkovic finished 6-of-22 passing for 119 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Oswego East's Jayden Andrews sealed the win with a fourth-down interception on the game's final play, as Shaw Local reported.
After the loss, Hildreth told Shaw Local on Aug. 29 that the offense needs to sustain longer possessions. "You can't depend on putting the ball in the end zone that way," Hildreth said. " ... We've got to sustain drives and put more together than that."
