The Villa Park Public Library hosts a free baby resource fair Saturday, Sept. 26, connecting expectant parents and families with young children to specialists from more than 25 local health and early-childhood organizations.
The library and the Friends of the Villa Park Library are co-hosting "First Chapters: A Baby Resource Fair" from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is open to anyone, not just Villa Park residents, according to the library's announcement.
Participating groups will cover health, wellness and early childhood development. The library said families can chat with specialists about their children's growth and well-being.
A full list of participating organizations was not available as of Sept. 9. Families can call the library at (630) 834-1164 or visit vppl.info for updates.
The Friends of the Villa Park Library, the volunteer fundraising group co-hosting the fair, organized the library's Spring Craft and Vendor Fair in May, which drew more than 30 vendors.
The resource fair falls during a busy stretch of family programming at the library. The fall Toddler Time series runs Mondays, Sept. 14 through Dec. 7, and Thursdays, Sept. 17 through Dec. 10, with sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. for walkers up to age 3 accompanied by an adult.
The library is at 305 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park.
