A $100 raffle ticket could send an area golfer to Pebble Beach this December, with all proceeds funding programs for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

St. Coletta's of Illinois, a Tinley Park-based nonprofit founded in 1949, is selling raffle tickets through its annual Kennedy Golf Outing. The drawing takes place Monday, August 17, during the outing at Crystal Tree Golf and Country Club on West 153rd Street in Orland Park. Winners do not need to be present.

The prize

The winner and a guest receive entry into the 2026 Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship, a 54-hole amateur tournament played December 9–13 at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Poppy Hills Golf Course in California. Players must hold a USGA-certified handicap index to compete in the Net Division.

The package includes daily breakfast, two group dinners, airport transfers from Monterey Peninsula Airport to The Inn at Spanish Bay, and daily shuttle service to tournament events. Each day of play offers a hole-in-one opportunity to win a Lexus. Airfare and accommodations are not included.

Lexus of Orland and Lexus of Merrillville are sponsoring the raffle, according to the organization's event listing.

St. Coletta's operates a school serving students from pre-K through 12th grade, a vocational training center, community day services, a behavioral health clinic, and residential programs across Chicago's south and southwest suburbs, according to nonprofit financial records. The Kennedy Job Training Center, the program the outing is named for, has been preparing graduates for community employment since 1963.

The Kennedy Golf Outing has nearly reached its $100,000 fundraising goal. The event's GiveSmart page showed $95,250 raised as of Tuesday, July 15. The outing runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on August 17 and also offers sponsorship and advertising opportunities for local businesses.
