Kimberly Plummer, 33, of Park Forest, was arrested Tuesday, July 21, on felony burglary and retail theft charges after Elmhurst police linked her to a clothing theft at Kohl's, 303 Route 83, according to EPD incident reports published Wednesday, July 22.
Investigators said surveillance video from the store showed Plummer concealing clothing and leaving without paying on the morning of Saturday, July 11. She was booked into the DuPage County Jail. No court date has been announced.
The arrest was one of several incidents the Elmhurst Police Department handled during the week ending July 22.
Trespasser caught on camera on South Stratford
A resident in the 800 block of South Stratford Avenue told police her outdoor security camera recorded a man walking onto her property around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, according to the same set of EPD reports.
No arrest has been made. Police have not released a suspect description or disclosed next investigative steps.
Additional incidents logged
Elmhurst police also recorded a firearm turned in to the department, at least one property damage report, active scam cases, a stolen bicycle, and a separate retail theft during the same period. Specific locations, dates, and circumstances for those incidents were not available.
